Who we are
SBAS is a business operating platform used by small businesses and self-employed professionals to run scheduling, work records, invoicing, payments and customer communication. This policy covers the SBAS platform itself. Each business that uses SBAS is responsible for its own relationship with its customers.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number and password credentials for people who sign in to SBAS.
- Business information — the business or professional details entered in SBAS, such as business name, address, contact details, services, pricing and tax identity where provided.
- Customer and work records — information a business enters about its own customers and jobs: name, contact details, addresses relevant to the work, appointments, estimates, invoices, payments and notes.
- Technical information — sign-in events, security events and error records needed to keep the service working and secure.
How we use it
We use this information to operate the service: to sign you in, to run the business workflows you configure, to send the messages you or your customers ask for, to process payments through your connected payment provider, and to keep records accurate and secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer records from one business for another business.
Separation between businesses
Every business using SBAS has its own separate workspace. Records belonging to one business are not readable by another business, and this separation is enforced by the platform, not only by the interface.
Text messages and email
A business may send service messages to its own customers about their work — for example a confirmation, a reminder or a request to rate completed work. Message and data rates may apply. A customer can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from that business, or HELP for help. Account emails such as sign-in confirmation and password recovery are sent by SBAS.
Service providers
SBAS uses third parties to deliver parts of the service, including hosting and database infrastructure, text-message delivery, email delivery, mapping and address lookup, and payment processing. They receive only the information needed to perform their function. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored by SBAS.
Retention and deletion
Business and work records are kept while the account is active and for as long as the business needs them for its own financial and legal records. A business owner can request deletion of their workspace data by contacting us.
Your choices
- Request a copy of the personal information held about you.
- Ask for correction of inaccurate information.
- Ask for deletion, subject to records a business must keep by law.
- Stop service text messages at any time by replying STOP.
