Terms of Service

Last updated September 14, 2026

SBAS is currently in a limited pilot. New accounts are created by invitation only.

The service

SBAS provides software for running a small business: scheduling, work records, estimates, invoicing, customer communication, payment collection through your own connected payment provider, and reporting. SBAS is a tool used by your business; it does not perform the work, provide the service to your customers, or act as a party to your agreements with them.

Pilot period

During the current limited pilot, accounts are created by invitation. Features may change, and some capabilities are marked as pending while they are being verified. You should not rely on a pending capability for business-critical work until it is confirmed available.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in credentials confidential and do not share an account.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
  • Give accurate business information; other people rely on it on your documents.

Your customers' information

You decide what customer information to enter into SBAS and you remain responsible for it. You confirm you have the right to hold it and to contact those customers, including by text message where you have their consent.

Messaging

Messages sent from SBAS go out on your behalf, to your own customers, about their own work. You may not use SBAS for marketing blasts, unsolicited messages, or any message a recipient has opted out of. Opt-out requests are honoured automatically and may not be overridden.

Payments

Card payments are processed by your own connected payment provider under your agreement with that provider. SBAS records the payment and updates your invoice; it does not hold your funds and does not store card details. Fees, settlement times, disputes and refunds beyond what SBAS records are governed by your provider.

Ratings and reviews

SBAS job ratings are submitted by your customers after genuinely completed work. A business cannot edit a customer's rating or comment. An optional link to an external review site, where you configure one, is a separate service operated by that site.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access another business's workspace or records, interfere with the service, or use SBAS for unlawful activity. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability and liability

We work to keep SBAS available and accurate, but the service is provided as is during the pilot. To the extent permitted by law, SBAS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending use

You may stop using SBAS at any time and request your data. We may end access for non-payment or a breach of these terms, with notice where reasonable.
